Step 01STEP

Present a valid ID to the guard-on-duty and sign the Visitors’ Logbook. The customer will be issued a Visitor’s ID.

Step 02STEP

Present your 3rd copy of the Control Pass to the guard on duty and retrieve the 2nd copy of the Control Pass.

Step 03STEP

Proceed to the Receiving and Releasing Unit (RRU) of the National Metrology Laboratory (NML) for assistance. Present to the RRU staff both the 2nd and 3rd copy of the Control Pass as well as the green copy of the Technical Services Request Form (TSR).

Step 04STEP

The RRU staff will give you the 1st copy of the Control Pass. Fill-out the Exit Pass portion of all the three (3) copies of the Control Pass. Inspect your sample(s) for any damage. If no irregularity found, write “item(s) received in good condition” and affix your signature.

Step 05STEP

The RRU staff will give you the receiving copy of the Calibration / Test Report. Examine the report first for any discrepancy. If all the information is correct, affix your signature on each of the pages of the report and your copy will be given to you.

Step 06STEP

If you do not have any other transaction to make, “OK for Release of ID” will be given to you which you will present to the guard-on-duty upon exit.

Step 07STEP

Present to the guard-on-duty the ID issued by RRU, “OK for Release of ID”,  together with the Visitor’s ID and the Control Pass for Customer’s Property and claim from the guard-on duty your valid ID. The guard-on-duty will sign the Control Pass for Customer’s Property and gives the third copy to the customer.


Please be advised that NML Official Transaction hours is from 8:00AM to 12:00PM and 1:00PM to 4:00PM (Mondays to Fridays).   IMPORTANT:
  1. Make sure that you are bringing the following documents when claiming reports or samples:
    1. a.       Customer’s copy of the Technical Services Request Form (Green copy)
    2. b.      Control Pass (Original 3rd copy)
  2. Only the person who brought the sample(s) may claim it and its report; otherwise authorization is required.
  3. In case the above-mentioned required documents are lost, a duly notarized affidavit of loss MUST be presented.
